In this episode you’ll learn about the Mathematics 7 course of the Ron Paul Curriculum. This course is taught by Dr. Benjamin Richards and is targeted at 7th graders.
Mathematics 7 Course Overview
Students will learn information that will set them apart from other students and prepare them for more advanced mathematics.
Mathematics 7 further develops your abilities in the areas of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and logic. You will not simply learn how to pass tests. You will learn how to think mathematically which means to understand the structure and beauty of the mathematical world. You’ll use that understanding to solve real-world problems. This will set you apart from other students and prepare you for more advanced mathematics.
In 7th grade, you will gain proficiency in understanding how to solve problems that require multiple steps and mathematical techniques. You’ll further develop your abilities in arithmetic, algebra, geometry and logic. Other topics covered include fractions, decimals and percents, basic statistical concepts (e.g., mean and median), graphs, scientific notation, probability, units and measurement, basic geometry, simple proofs, manipulation of equations with variables, and much more. You will also learn basic proficiency with spreadsheets.
